This week I have the chance to do something NEW and Exciting that I haven't done before. I am helping run microphones at Pleasant Grove High School for an incredible musical production that is being put on my the Drama Productions class.

The show is titled "Once on This Island." It is a musical that is kind of a weird mix between Romeo and Juliette and the Little Mermaid (you will have to some see it). You can read more about it on Wikipedia if you want, but it is a fun show.

Tonight was the first night, and we just finished installing 4 new (rented) wireless mics, and sadly they didn't blend like we had hoped. I think that we should have had them here saturday for the double rehearsal, but oh well. We worked through the problems and I know that tomorrow will be a much better performance as far as sound goes...

The actors were incredible though, they did a great job. I feel bad that we (TECH) were not able to help them show off their talents more. I hope that the problems were too distracting, but from my seat it was as good as a dress rehearsal (but then I know each problem that we had tonight).

Anyway, so if you are in town and want to come see a good show, Pleasant Grove High School starting each night at 7:00 (only 90 minutes long). Come and enjoy,

=0) We were able to work with the new microphones, and they sounded much better tonight, even though they still need just a bit of help.

Thats awesome that PGHS is doing this. I actually saw this play at the Hale Center Theater. It was AWESOME! Because I've had a lot of involvement with Haiti, it was even more amazing. I wish I could be there to see it.

The best to you on your cruise. I'm soo sad I wasn't able to work it out to go...this time. :-)
